Monumental Urartian Inscriptions

Below is a list of all monumental Urartian inscriptions ordered chronologically by each king using the classificiation of Salvini’s CTU (2008–2018). The list does not include non-monumental items like metalware, clay tablets, seals, bulla, pottery, etc. The locations next to the inscription numbers indicate the find place or, if almost certain, the place of origin. Newer finds that have not yet been published in CTU are added with a question mark next to the predicted inscription number. A question mark next to the location indicates uncertainity about the origin/find location. Unless noted otherwise, all transliterations and translations follow the Electronic Corpus of Urartian Texts (eCUT). Notes like “after eCUT” or “after so-and-so” indicate some (mostly minor) corrections/updates have been made to the original. – Tayfun Bilgin (tayfun@bilgin.com)
