Urartian Inscription of Tsovak

Tsovak (A 9-7)

The rock inscription is located at the western end of the village of Tsovak on the southeast shore of Lake Sevan. The nine-line inscription is carved in a shallow niche 40 cm high and 80 cm wide, the surface of which is littered with small cavities.

Transliteration:
dhal-di-ni uš-ta-bi ma-si-ni šú-ri-e
2  ka-ru-ni mar-qu-qi-ni KUR-ni-e
mdsar5-du-ri-še a-li uš-ta-di
4  ha-ú-bi mar-qu-qi-ni KUR-ni-e
5  ku-ṭu-bi pa-ri KURur-ṭi5-hi-i-ni
dhal-di-ni-ni al-su-i-ši-ni
mdsar5-du-ri-ni mar-giš-ti-hi
8  MAN DAN-NU MAN GAL-ni MAN KUR.KUR MAN MANMEŠ
9  a-lu-si URUṭu-uš-pa-a-e URU

Translation:
(1) The god Haldi set off with his weapon, he defeated the land of the Arquqi. (3) Sarduri says: I set off, I conquered the land of the Arquqi, I came to the land Urṭihi. (6) Through the greatness of the god Haldi, (I am) Sarduri, son of Argišti, strong king, great king, king of the lands, king of kings, lord of Ṭušpa-City.”
